PORSCHE TAYCAN INSURANCE.

The Porsche Taycan is Porsche's first fully electric vehicle available as both a sports sedan and as a wagon which they call the Cross Turismo.

The Porsche Taycan was first sold in Australia solely as a sedan in September 2020 in 4S, Turbo and Turbo S variants. Since that time the GTS and a base model have been added to the range, along with the availability of the Cross Turismo. Battery sizes range from 79.2 kWh to 93.4 kWh depending on the model, with the Turbo S developing 560kW of power. The Turbo S is capable of completing the 0-100 km/h sprint in an amazing 2.8 seconds.

The design of the Taycan was completed by Mitja Borkert, with aerodynamics high on the agenda. The styling is very similar to the striking Mission E Concept of 2015. The Turbo model has a drag coefficient of Cd=0.22, which assists in vehicle stability and quietness. This, along with efficient battery technology, allows for a maximum range of 327 km. This is to be significantly increased with upgrades being developed for the MY25 Taycan's.

Many Porsche factory options are available to allow you to tailor the Taycan to your specific requirements. These include a number of 20 or 21 inch alloy wheel styles, a range of leather trims and custom colour paintwork. After the success of the Taycan and the increasing desire for electric vehicles, Porsche will be expanding their electric offerings to include the Macan in 2025.
